Vaults & Tombs
Concrete burial vaults, brick tombs, and private family mausoleums, for burial in the ground or above it.
Concrete vaults
Our vault walls taper from 2½ inches thick to 3. The National Concrete Burial Vault Association standard is 1½ inches throughout.
Each vault is poured from high-strength six-bag concrete with synthetic fiber, steel rebar, and a non-porous bonding compound: four kinds of reinforcement in one wall. The heavier build stands up to impact and pressure, and to the freezing and thawing that cracks thinner concrete.
The bonding compound closes the concrete’s pores at the microscopic level, so water can’t work its way through the wall. That is why our vaults don’t need a separate liner.

Brick tombs
Brick tombs are built above ground, with one crypt or several, in the brick color you choose. Their tops and bottoms are poured concrete slabs.
A granite ledger or wrap over the top and sides means less upkeep in the years ahead.

Private family mausoleums
Private family mausoleums are available. Call either yard to talk through the size, the stone, and the plot.

Finishing the grave
Most families finish a vault with a few more pieces:
- A concrete slab as a foundation, and to keep the ground from caving in.
- A concrete apron to stop leaning and sinking and keep the grass back.
- A granite ledger or wrap against moisture, mildew, and cracking.
- A headstone. Slants are the most popular choice for concrete vaults.
